Safety Rules

Rules

  • I take the safety of my animals and guests very seriously.
  • The weight limit maximum for all riders is 65 pounds for small pony and 100 pounds for large pony. 
  • No unauthorized persons are allowed on pony.
  • No hitting, slapping, or pulling tail or mane of pony.
  • No double riding.
  • No running along, after or in the path of pony.
  • No Rough housing, playing with balls or flying objects, squirting water guns, fireworks, popping balloons or other loud and startling sounds are allowed around pony (squeals and laughter are always okay!).
  • No eating or drinking while on pony. Hands must be completely free to hold on to saddle. 
  • All toddlers must hold an adult’s hand when near pony.
  • All riders must be wearing closed toe shoes and undergarments. All clothing must be dry.
  • All riders must be able to hold themselves up unaccompanied. No infants. Sitting on pony for picture is allowed during picture time.
  • Parents or a responsible adult must be present and walking along when child is riding pony.
  • Petting the pony is encouraged but is only allowed if he is stopped and has no rider.
  • Any guest with a disability must have a doctor’s release to ride as the jarring of a pony’s gate may cause harm to the guest. A medically trained adult must always be present and have hands on the guest, while riding.
  • Guests having tantrums/fits must quickly be removed from Pony Area and Petting Corral until in a calm state.
  • Toddlers in the Petting Corral area must be supervised by an adult.
  • Guests must not hit, bite, kick, pull hair/feathers/tails/ears/fur of animals.
  • Guest must not poke eyes or ears of animals.
  • Guests must not drop, throw or sit on animals.
  • Guests hurting or being aggressive with the animals will be given one warning, after that, if the behavior continues, the guest must be removed from the animal area.
  • Guests must not bring pacifiers, bottles, toys, blankets, or food into Petting Corral.
  • All guests entering the Petting Corral or leaning over it to pet animals, must clean hands with hand sanatizer after contact with animals.
  • Any guest who will be in proximity to the animals at the event must be intellectually able to follow, emotionally willing to follow, and physically capable of following directions in English. Any guest without the ability or willingness to follow directions when told the first time must be accompanied at all times by an adult who will take on the responsibility of anticipating and preventing any unacceptable, reckless or hazardous behavior and must be physically capable of removing such guest from the animal area without delay, if necessary.


These rules have been carefully considered not only for the safety of my animals and the guests, but to also insure there are no misunderstandings, which could turn a happy and enjoyable event into something stressful and unpleasant.
